Emotional intelligence and psychological resilience in education

Abstract
The present study examined the effect of emotional intelligence on psychological resilience in the Moroccan academic context. The research participants are 250 of baccalaureate students. The measurement scales are the Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQ-i:S), and the Resilience Scale (AAQ-II). The results showed that the emotional intelligence scores positively predicted the level of psychological resilience in the sample. The results also revealed the absence of differences in the scores of emotional intelligence and psychological resilience in the variables of academic specialization and school class level. Therefore, the emotional intelligence development programs can be adopted to build psychological resilience in school-going adolescents.
