Improvement of Quality in skills training, and needs of client companies
Main Article Content
Abstract
The very strong constraint of the globalization of the economy generates increasing needs in skills, with as a corollary a revision of the training programs in the national educational systems. In addition, in the Moroccan context, new challenges such as the target of 10,000 engineers per year by 2010.
In this work, we treat the case of the training of the electrical engineer within the Superior School of Electricity and Mechanics of Casablanca (ENSEM). Our goal is to initiate an approach to improve the quality of training in this establishment based on the needs of companies considered as customers of ENSEM, supplier of skills on the job market.
Our approach began with the collection of needs through a survey of a sample of companies in the activity sector concerned. To this end, we have segmented the target market. Beforehand, we developed a pre questionnaire that we tested with a limited number of client companies. Then, we submitted a questionnaire to a representative sample of companies grouped within the National Federation of Electricity and Electronics (FENELEC). This allowed us to define new needs in managerial and cognitive skills. The responses to the questionnaire served as the basis for weighting each expectation, which was integrated into the use of the QFD.
